PLUSCUT

Pluscut represents the next generation of Trafimet's plasma cutting technology, the result of extensive research and development.

In designing the plasma cutter's handle, our main goal was to introduce ergonomics that would complement Trafimet's new, advanced mechanical solution.

Throughout the design phase, the application of high ergonomic standards also contributed to the refinement of the mechanical design, with both processes evolving in a collaborative dialogue to achieve optimal results.

Supporting cutting action through ergonomics

Our focus was in improving the quality of cutting action through advanced surface design and material choices.

The handle's compact size and height-to-width proportions ensure a comfortable fit in the user's hand. Strong surface contours and the wedge-shaped profile support precise handling and control over the cutting angle.

Integrated elastomer surfaces help reduce wrist strain during extended use and provide a secure, effortless grip — even when wearing protective gloves.

Design for reliable and accurate operation

The handle's tail end is shaped to be compatible with two cable assembly options, both of which offer resistance to harsh industrial environments.

Pluscut's trigger design enhances control, making cutting action more deliberate and reliable. An integrated safety latch reduces the risk of accidental activation. Additionally, the trigger features two fang-like protrusions that improve the user's finger grip.
